If only real life was like this

Belly dancers and a comics convention in one place.

So...does this mean every bizarre fantasy I had as a boy is going to come true? Please note that I write these words on a computer inside my home which is connected to a worldwide information network of some sort. I can only assume that my personal jet pack is coming soon. And after my torrid affair with Barbara Feldon, I will be married to Kate Bush. And I will be able to read minds.

Photos from the 2004 event can be found here.

  2. You realize that this means not only anything is possible, but that EVERYTHING is possible!

I get my own Millenium Falcon with a harem in the back and a digital library of every comic every published!?! Sign me up for this wish-fulfillment seminar!

  3. Hi RAB!
As you are no doubt discovering, there's a lot of crossover between the Oriental dance crowd and the SF crowd, the Ren Faire crowd, the Comics crowd, the Harry Potter crowd, etc. :)

For what it's worth, despite some of her more bizarre costume choices, Alexandria is really very credible in our dance community. She actually studied in, I believe, Luxor, Egypt in the 70s and 80s with the celebrated Banat Mazin family of Ghawazee dancers -- no easy feat for an American girl at that time!

Actually, from what I've seen and heard, I'd love to go to this -- she's got some some big-name teachers and performers there, including of course THE Suhaila.
