Words fail

O.o

Via Cartoon Brew. I need to see this movie. How its existence eluded me for the past ten years I'll never know.

  1. OMG, I had no idea! Was it direct-to-video or something?

  2. I don't know which is sadder, that this exists or that I instantly recognized that little bridge from the pilot of DS9.

  3. Was this directed by the same guy who did Donnie Darko?

  4. Sea: Apparently so. Sadly, Netflix doesn't have the DVD, so it'll be a little while longer before I can check it out for myself. Bear in mind I'm the guy who likes both The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas and The Star Wars Christmas Special because Harvey Korman was in them, and look here, what a surprise...

TS: Good catch! I totally missed that. And Jake Sisko never went fishing at the holodeck pond again after the day he was accosted by a morose oversized gander wearing a diaper and bonnet shouting "will you be my friend?" Years later, he still woke up screaming.

rob!: You'd think, wouldn't you? Actually the film was directed by Stephen Furst, who's also doing the voice of Huey. It reminds me more than a bit of his voice role from the Buzz Lightyear cartoon series. He's a good director and it's got a very surprising cast, including one Peter Jurasik who acted alongside Furst in Babylon 5 many years ago.

  5. Yes! Talk about mental scar tissue for poor Jake; ye made me larf! Timothy Leary had nothing on the terrors of the holodeck.

  6. Now isn't that a sight calculated to cause alarm.
